Gulkana Glacier just off the Richardson Highway. This is beautiful in the summer, but in the winter it is spectacular. A true winter wonderland.

I submitted 7 photos for the Rarefied Light Competition this year. One was selected for exibition and I was surprised by the judge’s choice. These are some of my favorite shots from around Alaska. First, there was a digital stage where the last image was selected. We had to frame and mat a print for the second phase of the competition and they selected my one entry for a traveling exhibit around the state.
