One image HDR
I decided to see what Photomatix could do with one image. I took a Raw image from a couple years ago and imported it into Photomatix. I then tonemapped it and worked some curves, masking and sharpening in Photoshop CS4. I think it was worth the effort.

I’d agree with you. Brings out the colors and shadows nicely. I’ll have to give this a try using the Aperture Photomatix plugin.
