HDR Photo of the Day Waterfall

I was redoing some photos and came across this one from earlier this year. I love these falls, but they can be challenging. It gets very dark, as you can imagine, so using a tripod is essential. I took 3 images and combined in Photomatix to create this image.

    I bet most people do not think of this when thinking of Alaska. Really like this composition.

    Using HDR on my recent trip to photograph waterfalls really helped. The contrast of the water, light and darkness around them is hard to capture in a single exposure with my old Nikon D70.
