Came across 3 bears near the road deep in Denali National Park. The light was not good, but the opportunity was great.
This first photo shows how close to the road they were. It was early so not many people were there.

The bears were feeding on blueberries so their heads were down most of the time.
A couple times the bears would look up as vehicles pulled off to photograph or watch them.
This bear was very interested in somebody’s barking dogs. He stood up to get a better look.
This bear actually charged down the hill after the sound of the dogs.
I have driven into Denali for years, but the last couple have been great bear encounters. This trio of bears stuck around the side of the road giving me great photo ops.

Whoa…you were closer than I thought. Have you tried some pseudo-HDR on any of these. Might pop the detail and colors a bit.
Thanks for the suggestion Scott. I will give it a try. It was very early in the morning and the sun had not come up from behind the mountains.
That looks like a gap those bears could close in seconds.
