Last weekend I decided to paint my garage floor with Rustoleum Epoxy Paint. I had previously painted my floor with a garage floor paint, but the results were not good.

The bulk of the work was in the preparation of the floor. I rented a pressure washer to take up the grime. It took half a day to clean it up, lots of lose paint and oil to scrub.

Before

As you can see, the floor was in poor shape.

After

This is after, the photo doesn’t do it justice. I mixed in anti-skid compound to the epoxy which brought down the glossy look. I find the floor to be in great shape and I will let you know how it lasts through the tough Alaska winter.

How long did you wait after you pressure washed to roll on the epoxy? I am trying avoid trapping moisture. I planned on pressure washing ona friday and rolling on Sunday. Thoughts?

I pressure washed in the morning and was painting by afternoon. I squeegeed the floor several times to help the drying process…still holding up great!
