Off Camera Flash

September 4th, 2010 Mike Criss No comments
Took some senior pictures of my daughter yesterday and had a lot of fun. It was a very sunny afternoon with the sun high in the sky. A very rare day this summer! Made it challenging finding the right light to photograph her. Of course the truck was loaded with gear so I grabbed my 580EX II with an umbrella. The fill flash made all the difference.

Juneau at Colony Football

On this football night, I had to use my flash rig (580EX II mounted below the camera on a monopod)  through the entire game. Last week I shot exclusively with my 100-400mm Canon lens. This week, because of the darkness, I shot with just my 70-200mm 2.8 L. Love that fast lens.
