Moose Visitor

We have had a moose hanging around our house this winter. She has taken a liking to Totem our Siberian Husky. She actually looks into our windows and seeks Totem out. Fun to watch and photograph.

Hiking in the Cold

Took another hike with Totem yesterday. It was cold, -5 F, but we warm up quick in snow shoes. Must have been the cold keeping people away, but we did not come across anyone on the trail system. We were able to let Totem off leash to play in the snow. Crevasse Moraine Trail System here in Wasilla is one of our favorite places to go in the winter…as long as the snow is good. Dry summers the trails are nice to mountain bike on, but wet summers and spring the mosquitoes can be bad.
